Sampling comments: "Pitfall traps consistedd of two-litre plastic buckets... 100 pitfall traps were used with five traps placed in each replicate. Each trap was placed 1.5 m away from the next within the replicate in a circular pattern. During each sampling event, traps were left open for 10 days... A 1 m2 quadrat was placed randomly at two locations within each replicate and all leaf litter was sifted" and "Two 1 m2 quadrats were randomly placed within each replicate on each sampling event" and spiders were collected "for 15 minutes", although spiders were also collected in the pitfalls
