Sampling comments: "Rove beetles were surveyed from April 2003 through March 2005. They were sampled using pitfall traps (7 cm diameter, 10 cm deep) covered with a pantile and filled with vinegar to attract the beetles... Four traps were set on the four cardinal side of each farm, between tunnel in uncultivated strips of land. They were examined fortnightly from April through October and monthly from November to March. A total of 324 lot of samples were examined" across this sample and three others, but trapping is assumed to have been continuous
