Sampling comments: "From seven to twelve motion-triggered camera-traps of the models 2011 Bushnell Trophy Cam, Reconyx RC60HO, MC65HO and PC90HO, Leaf River IR-7SS, Trailmaster 1550 and non-commercial products produced by the Centre for Electronics Design and Technology at the Indian Institute of Science in Balgalore... were set up from September 2010 to June 2012 in 35 trapping sites... The numbers of deployed devices varied as some units malfunc- tioned, were stolen or vandalized... Camera-traps were set to take pictures 24 h/ day... Only one camera-trap was placed in each site... the original target species was the leopard... Total density of camera-traps was one per 6.4 km2" and this squares with a reported total area of 225.3 km2
