Geography comments: "about 26 km southeast of Thessaloniki on the Chalkidiki peninsula" (coordinate based on Chalkidiki)
"correlated with the MN 4–MN 5 boundary interval" and therefore Burdigalian; indicated in Fig. 7 as being just about 17 Ma
Climate and habitat
Substrate: ground surface
Habitat comments: "in karstic fissures... These deposits, belonging to the Antonios Formation, consist of coarse, clastic sediments (gravels, pebbles, sands) and more fine-grained, red–brown, silty-clay" (material presumably from the clay based on use of screenwashing)
