Geography comments: "a large blackwater lake in the lower Rio Purus region... a part of the northern border of the Piagaçu-Purus Sustainable Development Reserve... Anthropogenic disturbance to the forests is low across the sampling sites"
Habitat: tropical/subtropical moist broadleaf forest

MAP: 2600.0
Habitat comments: "a large interconnected mosaic of unflooded (terra firme) and flooded forest inundated by white-water (varzea) and black-water (igapo)"
Life forms: bats
Sampling methods: no design, mist nets
Sample size: 249
Days: 10
Nets or traps: 10
Net or trap nights: 100
Sampling comments: "Bats were captured during the low-water season in September 2008 and October–November 2009... We sampled five sites in both flooded and unflooded forests... Each site was sampled for four nights, with two nights in the low-water period and two nights in the high-water season. Bats were captured using a continuous line of ten mist nets (12.0 9 2.5 m) set at ground level on existing transects... Nets operated between 1800 and 0000 h... Bat recaptures were very rare... and these were not included in the analyses"
